Command line
The same engine as the editor and the MCP server, from a terminal.
Commands
styledui explore "<brief>" [--seed n] [--json]
styledui design-md <genomeToken>
styledui export <genomeToken> --out dir [--format files|dtcg] (needs STYLEDUI_API_KEY)explore
Prints up to six directions for a brief. Each has an id, a name, a one-line summary and a genome token; a wildcard direction is marked. Free.
pnpm styledui explore "Dashboard for a fintech treasury tool" --json--seed n: an integer that changes which six directions you get. The default is 0.--json: prints the full result as JSON instead of the short list.
design-md
Prints the DESIGN.md for a genome token to standard output. Free. Redirect it into your repo.
pnpm styledui design-md <genomeToken> > DESIGN.mdexport
Writes the exported files into a folder you name. --out is required. --format is files (a standalone project, the default) or dtcg (design tokens). It needs a Pro API key in the environment:
STYLEDUI_API_KEY=... pnpm styledui export <genomeToken> --out ./outIt refuses to write outside the folder you gave. See export structure for what is written. Without a key, it stops with a message that exploring is free and code export is Pro and needs an API key.
Genome tokens
A genome token is the compact description of one direction, the same base64url JSON used in /s/?g= share URLs. explore prints one per direction; pass it to design-md and export.
